How Do I Get Rid of Bad Breath?

A man plugging his nose because something smells bad

Bad breath is a problem we’ve all dealt with at some point - besides the usual morning breath. Whether before meeting a date or going in for a meeting, we’ve, at one time or another, popped in a mint or chewing gum. In fact, millions of dollars go into buying mints, mouthwash, and similar products that help keep your breath fresh!

If you’re struggling with the same problem in Centennial, CO, here are a few easy ways you can get rid of bad breath.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

The offensive garlic or onion smell can easily give you a bad first impression. To counter this problem, try apple cider vinegar. Just pour some of it (approximately a quarter of a glass) and swish it around in your mouth. It will neutralize the bad smell in your mouth and give you fresh breath instantly!

  1. Clean Your Tongue

This is perhaps one of the most common mistakes people make. We all remember cleaning our teeth every day, but not many of us often scrape our tongues. Endodontists in Castlewood recommend cleaning our tongues just as regularly as our teeth with a toothbrush. Some toothbrushes have a tongue scraper on the back, which you can use to clean your tongue.

This will remove food debris and dead cells that brushing can’t get rid of.

  1. Rinse with Salt Water

One natural way of freshening your breath is by rinsing your mouth with saltwater. Just add salt to a glass of warm water and then rinse your mouth with it for 30 seconds. If it doesn’t work the first time, try at least 3 to 4 four more times, and you won’t have to worry about bad breath!

That said, if the problem persists, you can perhaps try out an endodontics treatment in Castlewood. For more information on how you can contact us, click here to check out our website.
