When the third molars at the back of your mouth don’t have enough room to emerge or develop normally, they are referred to as impacted wisdom teeth.
Most people have four wisdom teeth at the back of their mouth – two on the top and two on the bottom. These are the last adult teeth to erupt.
When wisdom teeth don’t have enough space to erupt comfortably, they try to force their way out of the gums. This can lead to some serious pain, damage to the surrounding teeth, and other dental issues. There are cases where there are no apparent side effects of an impacted wisdom tooth. However, they are still difficult to clean, which may cause them to become more vulnerable to tooth decay, gum disease, and other dental issues.
While there aren’t any symptoms of an impacted wisdom tooth, it can lead to other issues such as infections, damages, and pain. As a result, you may experience some of the following symptoms.
If you experience any of the above symptoms, you should visit a dentist as soon as possible. If you reside in Castlewood, Southglenn, Dove Valley, Denver Tech Center, Foxfield, Lone Tree, Cherry Creek, or Greenwood Village, schedule an appointment with Syrpes & Pangborn for a consultation now.
